Fairfax Homeschool Athletic Hawks Girls Varsity Basketball Team Continue Winning Streak

The Fairfax Homeschool Athletics (FHS) Varsity Girls Hawks continue their winning streak with a 13-0 standing. The Hawks’ most recent win came on January 4, 2025, playing against the Loudon County Homeschool team. The Hawks won with a final score of 58 to 40. The team is composed of three Seniors, two Juniors, four Sophomores, five Freshmen, and one 8th grader. All girls have been vital to the team’s overall performance and success.  The Hawks scored as high as 70 points in one game. The three closest rivals were Fredericksburg Victory with a final score of 44 -40 with a four-point difference played on January 3, 2025, Spirit Homeschool League with a final score of 51 to 45 with a six-point difference, and the Frederick Warriors with an overall score of 53- 46 with a seven-point difference. 

Within the FHSSA Region, they are currently in first place. The FHSSA Region is a geographical division within the Virginia High School League. This is where high schools compete against each other in athletic competitions. FHS is included in the homeschool division within the region. They are ranked 21 in Virginia and the Washington D.C. Metro Rankings. The vision for Fairfax Homeschool Athletics is to create a community around a robust athletic program with high-quality coaching to develop home-school athletes competing at the highest level.  The Varsity Girl’s Basketball team along with their coaches are exemplary of the FHS vision.
