The Fairfax County Federation of Citizens Associations (“The Fairfax Federation”) recently completed its annual election of officers, selecting the leadership team that will guide the organization for the upcoming fiscal year (July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027). The election took place during the Federation’s May membership meeting, where eligible member associations voted for the new officers.
On June 18, 2026, President Matt Bell, Vice President Jeff Parnes, and Second Vice President Luann Whittenburg along with 3 other administrative officers, were installed with the oath of office at the Federation’s Annual Picnic at Burke Lake Park.
The Fairfax Federation is a long-standing countywide civic organization founded in 1940. It brings together citizen associations from across Fairfax and the region to engage in local issues such as land use, education, public safety, and budget policy.
President Bell invites the community to attend the Fairfax Federation’s next monthly membership meeting on Jul 23, 2026 starting at 7 PM for a discussion about data centers. This meeting will be held at the Chantilly Regional Library.
In addition, the Federation is inviting members of the community from the city or county to service on their various committees, as representatives to the county boards and commissions,
